Garmin eTrex 22x Handheld GPS
What I want in a hollow with no service: a dedicated GPS, not a phone hoping for a bar. Listing is the eTrex 22x, model 010-02256-00.
The backcountry gear locker
Three products, three Amazon pages. I earn from qualifying purchases. Full disclosure. Nothing here is a secret short link to the Amazon homepage.

Sleep system
Therm-a-Rest NeoAir XLite NXT
Regular size. The Amazon listing I linked quotes a 4.5 R-value and a pack size around a one-liter bottle. That is the pad, not a generic air mattress.

Sawyer Squeeze
The Squeeze filter kit that was actually in stock when this page was built: Squeeze plus a clear Cnoc 2-liter bladder (SP303). Not a different “micro” model hiding behind the same button.
